Brand identity for Kaah, the iconic figure of Swedish soul, and the design of his latest album 'Färger'. Our approach at tätatät was to craft visuals that reflected his esteemed status, opting for a very personal and "naked" aesthetic.
Inspired by the album's title, "Färger" (colors in Swedish), we embraced a nuanced interpretation, delving beyond literal colorful aesthetics to explore broader figurative connotations. This led us to create imagery in shades of black and white.
The album cover image, captured by the esteemed photographer Anton Renborg, was set in Kaah's own living room. He was wearing only a tank top and boxers, adding an intimate touch to the visual narrative.
The typography chosen was Scoop, a sans serif font crafted by Letters of Sweden. Drawing inspiration from dependable and versatile Grotesque typefaces, Scoop adds a distinct touch to the design with its unique blend of simplicity and character.
